Every year, the organization offers the communities around Montreal several concerts outside of the regular concert series. We invite you to check this page often as new activities are added throughout the season.

La Grande Accélération: Symphonie #12

Saint-Joseph Oratory

With conductor Tim Brady and visual designer Sylvain Marotte, this event encompasses 100 electric guitars, percussion, symphonic orchestra and digital images. An immersive experience with 160 specialized musicians in the magnificent Saint-Joseph Oratory basilica.

As part of the Montreal/New Musics International Festival organized by La Société de musique contemporaine de Québec, the participants of this event includes Instruments of Happiness, Sixtrum, l’Orchestre symphoniques de jeunes de la Montérégie, and the West Island Youth Symphony Orchestra.

Collaboration with Cité-des-Jeunes

A collaboration between WIYSO and the music department at Cité-des-Jeunes high school.
